Geoff Johns is DC's god. No, not Morrison, JOHNS.

For my first write, I'm reviewing the newest Booster Gold issue. It's titled 1,000,000 because it takes place in a very lame 853rd century. I strongly disliked DC 1,000,000, but the throwaway character Peter Platinum in this issue of Booster was funny enough to where I didn't care that he was part of a dumb continuity. Anyway, on to the rest of the content.

*Spoiler alert dude*

After Ted Kord realized he had to die again in order to restore order to time, he returned to his death. Booster and Skeets chase after him, but get lost in the time stream, winding up in the 853rd Century. There they meet the aforementioned Peter Platinum who is an arrogant douche. After Platinum spouts some crap, Rip Hunter comes in his sphere and saves our heroes. Booster quits being a time master again, only to face off against the Royal Flush gang for what seems to be the 1,000,000th(LOLZ) time.

Randomly, Batman teleports Booster to the cave and tells him that if people thinking he's a loser is what allows him to do his best, he should let them keep thinking that. Booster heads back to Rip's lab, to be greeted by his long dead sister Michelle. Since she is already from the future apparently Michelle in exempt from hard rules of time travel. Eeesh. It ends with Booster and Michelle going to Paris for dinner, and after they leave in the time sphere, Rip says to "Keep it up, Dad".

This issue presents a lot of things that make me happy, and one thing that makes me sad. I should mention that Booster Gold and Rip Hunter are my favorite DC heroes, and the combination of the two in this run has been amazing. Geoff Johns has been writing it and everything I've read by him is awesome. This was his last issue on this run, and it's disappointing to see him go. This issue was a great end, however. First, Rip Hunter is revealed as Booster Gold's son. I knew that Rip was somehow connected to Booster. At first I questioned if he was Booster himself, but now we know the truth. Second, the exchange between Batman and Booster Gold is just great.

I forgot to mention the epilogue. A silhouette is shown holding the Scarab, outside of Kord Industries. When he enters a room containing Bug, the figure lets out a loud BWAHAHAHA-. I find it neat but not something worth speculating too much over. I'm interested if Ted actually died, now. It was a rewarding issue, especially if you've been reading the run since it began. There isn't a lot of action and I find it ironic that it's titled Booster Gold 1,000,000 when the 853rd century accomodates five pages of the comic, but it's got some good development for the future. Anyway, thanks for reading.
